SoSunglasses Out and About!
May 2010 saw us exhibition at Really Good Fashion Sale. A fantastic event where we introduced our brand to many new friends.
Exhibiting at Ascot in Oct 2010.
Great News! Now, along side our online shop, we can now be found at some of the best events in Surrey.
On Sunday 27th September we were at the Surrey County Country Fair at Loseley Park, nr Guildford. This was an ideal event to end the summer with and our sunglasses were very popular, in particular our Retro Neon Wayfarer designs. This was the seventh year of this show, which can attract up to 10,000 visitors and it seemed that it was as busy as ever. It is set in a magnificent rural site on the grounds of the historic mansion of Loseley. We will definitely return to this beautiful location next year.
From Friday 2nd October to Saturday 3rd October exhibited at Ascot Racecourse at their ‘Really Good Deal Fashion Sale’. This event happens twice a year and has been running for 14 years and is extremely popular, with approximately 7,000 people attending each opening. We could see why there is so much demand for this event as there were some fantastic stands there. We look forward to returning to this busy and successful event in May next year.
Watch this space as we hope to see you at many more events in the future with an excellent array of beautiful accessories including designer handbags, sunglasses and of course jewellery!
Sunglasses at Festivals 2009, Get Ready for the Last Festival of 2009 and Plan Ahead for the Festival Season in 2010!
Calling all of you festival goers out there! We know that you love stomping around in the mud whilst dancing along to an incredibly diverse range of music in the middle of a crowded field, but if you want to look good even after depriving yourself of shampoo and showers, and indulging in some severe sleep deprivation, the only thing to do is to buy a good pair of sunglasses.
SoSunglasses.co.uk has done all the research for you, from Classic Aviator Sunglasses to the Retro Style of Neon Wayfarers, we have be out spotting the best sunglasses looks at the festivals this year and have our first look to next year to see what we should expect for 2010.
Sunglasses at Festivals 2009
Looking back over the festivals in 2009 so far Aviators seem to have been the most popular sunglasses this season, in smart metal frames or retro plastic such as the ones worn by Jules De Martino from the Ting-Tings, who appeared in glamour.com after chilling back stage at the V Festival in a pair of white retro aviators. One thing we are definitely seeing more of in 2009 is women in Aviator Sunglasses. Cosmopolitan snapped up Jameela Jamil, the T4 presenter, in these flattering aviator sunglasses with a pretty pink dress and heavy boot combo.
We have noticed that Wayfarers have been popular again this year, continuing the trend from 2008, however this year we are seeing them not only in the cool black frames such as the ones worn by Cat Deely at Glastonbury this year (spotted by Glamour Magazine) but also in brighter colours and neon’s, like the ones worn by the Festival goer at Choachella 09 featured in Marie Claire.
The most obvious style this year is probably the Oversize Sunglasses, which seem to make a reappearance year after year, and are still turning up, to compliment more feminine outfits such as the one worn by Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud at Glastonbury this year, as seen in Cosmopolitan Magazine.
Get Ready for the Last Festival of 2009
Last but certainly not least of the festivals this summer is Bestival, which takes place in the Isle of Wight, from Friday 11th Sept to Sunday 13th Sept this year, and is
Headlined by Massive Attack, Craftwork and Elbow. This festival is a crazy, fun filled weekend, with a massive fairground, burlesque tea dances and the world’s largest fancy dress party on the Saturday night. The sort of sunglasses you’ll be wanting for this surreal weekend should be big and colourful like the DVB 11 sunglasses, which are a funky pair of oversized sunglasses in neon Green and Yellow, or pretty Pink and Blue Frames, or some of the new Bug Eye Frames such as YSL 6187.
All of the sunglasses mentioned in this article can be found at www.SoSunglasses.co.uk, as well as many more. SoSunglasses.co.uk is constantly reviewing the latest trends to make sure their discounted designer collection consists of the most sought after designer sunglasses, but at a fraction of their recommend retail price. SoSunglasses.co.uk also offers a massive range of cheap sunglasses which reflect all of the most popular designer sunglasses from only £7.00 a pair.
Plan Ahead for the Festival Season in 2010!
When the 2009 summer ends, and the last of the years festivals are over, it feels like those long, lazy music filled days are a million miles away. So to keep your spirits up, start planning ahead for next year. SoSunglasses.co.uk has compiled the details for the festivals in 2010 for you below, but first let’s have a quick look at what sunglasses you may be wearing.
It looks like the bug eye sunglasses trend is growing and will be taking over from Aviators and Wayfarers in 2010. And why not?! As all festival goers understand, the more of your face that can be covered up by sunglasses the better! The fashion for oversize sunglasses has become more and more popular over last 3 years. The trend has mainly been spearheaded by skinny celebs such as Nicole Richie, and Victoria Beckham who make the oversize sunglasses look even bigger, so designers have had to make the sunglasses massive so that the same effect can be created on everyone else. I wonder how big we will see them in 2010?!
You can be assured that, whatever style of sunglasses you decide on, you’ll be able to find them at www.SoSunglasses.co.uk. We look forward to your visit.
